Exploring Early Childhood Education in the AI Era

The AI era has arrived, and technologies such as ChatGPT and AI-generated art are transforming the world. As early childhood educators, we naturally ask ourselves: What capabilities will children need in the AI era?
At Yousen, we believe that in the AI era, what matters most is not rote memorization of knowledge, but rather: 1) Curiosity and a drive to explore—AI can provide answers, but asking insightful questions is even more critical; 2) Creativity—AI excels at imitation, yet original thinking remains a uniquely human strength; and 3) Social and emotional skills—interpersonal interaction and emotional understanding are irreplaceable by AI.
Accordingly, Yousen’s curriculum places special emphasis on cultivating children’s ability to ask questions, their creativity, and their social skills. We believe these competencies will empower children to remain competitive and fulfilled in the AI era.
